GUEST HOUSE STEINESMÜHLE e.V.
for holidays and leisure activities with family or friends as well as for conferences, seminars and workshops
The House and its Surroundings
The Steinesmühle is a 400-year-old mill situated in a secluded, rural spot in the heart of nature. Surrounded by trees, meadows, and fields, the mill lies directly on the edge of Steines Forest at the confluence of the Eschersbach and Wetter rivers. The mill buildings are arranged around a central courtyard. Our guests stay in the quaint old mill house, which exudes unique charm and offers plenty of open views onto the countryside. Münster, as well as Laubach, Lich, and Grünberg whose half-timbered buildings are typical of the area, as well as the ancient town of Hungen, are all within easy reach.
In the immediate surroundings you’ll find gently undulating meadows, fields, and forests. Embedded in the Vogelsberg Nature Park, the area is characterised by basalt—the primary rock—and red, iron-rich fields. The varied landscape offers a wide range of leisure activities, numerous nature experiences, and ample space for all kinds of recreation.
Nature Park Hoher Vogelsberg
The Mill is situated at one of the countless gateways to Hoher Vogelsberg Nature Park, where you can explore and experience nature by hiking, cycling, motorbiking, or other forms of transport. The landscape offers a wealth of charms all year round.
